When you add to that the complexity of incorporation under the Co-operative or Corporations Act, Security Regulations, coming up with an effective Governance model and raising start-up equity, it is easy to see how the greatest barrier to creating a Buying Group is the effort required by its founding members to make it happen.

Buying Group Services Inc provides Independents desirous of starting a Buying Group in their industry with the services to make it happen quickly and effectively. A detailed industry analysis is performed to insure the industry sector would benefit from a Buying Group. Guidance is provided on matters of incorporation, start-up equity, by-laws and governance matters. Potential members are then identified and contacted through a professional marketing program.

Buying Group Services provides the new Buying Group with ongoing services through a long term Management Services Contract. This cost effect method provides the Buying Group with all the required services to operate their Buying Group, including all administration of rebate programs, central pay programs, financial statement preparation and reporting, recruitment of new members, and management of any collective marketing initiatives. The services provided will be unique to each Buying Group, depending on their individual requirements.

BGS will also provide consulting services to existing Buying Groups that are interested in pursuing BGS’s Buying Group Best Practices formula for their organization. Analysis will be performed as to what practices are currently employed and where gaps exists with BGS’s Best Practices, with recommendation on how to implement the changes required to close those gaps.
